During my bi-monthly YouTube search for “MadMapper” I stumbled on this very casual presentation. Not much info on who is responsible for this other than that their YouTube handle is colabs1234 and that they are from Canada. As organizing workshops in the U.S. has been a near impossibility for us, this video covers pretty much everything we would explain about the software minus the hands on aspect of the MadMapping workshops where everyone gets a projector and a pile of boxes to map on. While the video is very much a ‘warts and all’ experience there is definitely all you need to know as well as a decent Modul8 introduction and its relationship to MadMapper.
Haha, we’ll I definitely didn’t think I’d see this pop up here! My name is Anthony Diehl and colabs1234 is my dusty old youtube account that I happened to post this informal training video to. I work with a company in Canada called Media Merchants (we did that Lamborghini Reventon thing that you guys posted a while back). I occasionally hold these informal one-on-one training sessions with some of our newer team members to teach the principles around mapping and how to get hands on with various software. I figured I would record it and leave it up for others to watch later.
BTW, if you even need help on the education side, I’m game! I think I quality as a full fledged mad mapper evangelist at this point. As I type I’m installing a large interactive sculpture in Toronto for Nuit Blanche this Saturday… all Modul8 and Madmapper! I’ll fire a link your way when its live.
Love the software and keep up the great work!
